• I grew up in the shadow of NYC lucky enough to have creative, supportive parents and two siblings who were both creative in their own right. "As far back as I can remember I've always been inventive. From drawing on my bedroom walls to etching my doodles into the soft wood to of my mom's sewing table.
When I finally learned about drawing paper (thankfully for everyone) I moved on to more conventional methods of expressing myself."
• In high school art classes overshadowed math and English. Later on The School of Visual Arts in NYC took precedence over other evening activities while my days were spent being groomed as an Associate Art Buyer at McCann Erickson Advertising. It didn't take long however for me to realize that my true passion was to actually BE the artist and not the person that chose which artist to hire.
• So, keeping that vision in mind I moved to NJ in 1985 and opened Roobiblue Studios, a full service graphic design company focusing on corporate illustration, graphic design and photography. By 2004 I relocated Roobiblue Studios to Vashon Island WA where I'm still creating.
• On a more personal note: I'm the proud mom of two extremely creative kids in their own right who also, coincidentally, began their artistic careers on their bedroom walls.
